Queen of Cups - Secret Tarot
Good Evening (imagine I said that all drawn out like, Alfred Hitchcock.)
It's raining here in Oakland. it was raining the same day last year too. It's really lovely. Today was one of those days where I woke up and had to get out the door as quickly as possible because I had back-to-back appointments all day long. I didn't have time to do a card draw before I left, but I did throw my tiny Secret Tarot in my bag on the way out the door in hopes that at some point I would be able to sit and shuffle and draw. I wasn't able to do it until my last appointment ended. I'm attaching a photo that I got off Pinterest because it's too dark in my car to photograph it.
When it gets late in the day, I always debate whether I should bother doing a card and posting it but I'm going to take a cue from my philosophy of "Perfect Timing" which is when I feel an urge to draw the card or I have time to draw the card that is the perfect time to give you the message. In other words you didn't actually need this to get through your whole day. Now is the perfect time.
Today's card, is the Queen of Cups from The Secret Tarot. As is usually the case with court cards, the card can represent you, a person close to you or who is about to come into your life, or the general attributes of the card.
The Queen of Cups is relaxed supported by a solid throne with a calm sea behind her. She represents creativity, imagination, nurturing spirit, balanced emotions, intuition and often love.
What attributes does the Queen of Cups invite you to bring to your life? Are you or someone you care about indulging in the less productive behaviors that an emotional creative person may fall into?
Who around you is a Queen of Cups you can rely on? Perhaps the Queen of Cups is drawing love to your life and a new relationship is coming. Is she telling you to listen to your inner voice, take a different view, start that creative venture you have been putting off, open yourself to a new relationship?
It was done as a benefit for Asian American mental health. It is an absolutely stunning deck! The imagery is really interesting. Some of it is obviously very traditional but there are some cards they have just come up with that are extraordinary. The definitions of the cards are on the backs and are quite in depth.
Anyway it was done as a Kickstarter, but the decks are also for sale in various kits so I thought I would give you the link. I've put this on my own want list because it's so wonderful.
